About the AltegroSky Group

The Group of Companies AltegroSky unites satellite operators VSAT, providing telecom services to the entire territory of Russia and CIS countries. All sales and promotion of telecom services are realized by the single brand - AltegroSky™.
Among the subscribers of the AltegroSky Group - clients in different areas: from the large Russian corporations to midsize and small businesses, as well as private users.
By November 2010 the brand AltegroSky serves more than 5,9 thousand subscriber terminals and operates more than 500 certified centers of partner companies in Russia.


Activity directions

United VSAT operator, the AltegroSky Group provides high-speed Internet access, corporate telephony, deployment of corporate networks for data transmission, telemetry, video conferencing, sending the circular information (multicasting) and business-TV, telecommunications based on mobile VSAT terminals (AltegroMobile), landline backup, dedicated satellite (backbone) channels, and satellite teleport resources for lease.


Technologies and equipment

Companies have the networks at the Russian geostationary orbiting satellites Yamal200 (90 ° East), ExpressAM22 (53 ° East) and ExpressAM3 (140 ° East) which provide full coverage of Russia and CIS countries territory and provide high-quality service for 0.98 to 1.8 meter satellite dishes.
Two HUBs are equipped with Ku-band antennas (3 x 9 m (Vertex), 1 x 4,5 m (Siemens)) and C-band antennas (2 x 12 m, 1 x 4,8 m (Special Design Bureau of Moscow Power Engineering Institute)). The range of equipment includes solutions for broadband satellite systems from leading international vendors: HughesNet and HX (Hughes Network Systems, LLC (Hughes)) and LinkStar (ViaSat Inc.).
AltegroSky network has seven operations centers (NOC) in Moscow and Khabarovsk, as well as data transmission nodes at the M9 Internet Exchange Point and at the M10 Internet Exchange Point. Overall service capacity is more than 150 Mbps.
   ZAO «Race Telecom» was founded in 1997. The commercial operation as a VSAT operator was started in October 2004.
Until September 2010 Race Telecom had offered telecom services for corporate users under the brand SPIN. In April 2010, 100% shares of JSC Race Telecom were acquired by JSC Settelecom (trademark AltegroSky).



JSC Settelecom was established in October 2003 as a project to create a federal network of VSAT satellite communications to provide broadband satellite access to the entire territory of Russia and CIS countries. Settelecom started commercial operation in November 2004.

Settelecom is the official distributor of Hughes Network Systems, LLC (Hughes, USA), C-Com Satellite Systems Inc. (iNetVu, Canada), Corinex Communications Corp. (Corinex, Canada), "Istar" (EASTAR, Russia).

Settelecom operates research and training facilities.
